Design in the oil and gas industry

In accordance with the License for Design (technological) and/or operation of mining productions (hydrocarbons), petrochemical productions, operation of trunk gas pipelines, oil pipelines, oil product pipelines in the hydrocarbon sector, our company provides the following services:

• Testing of wells at hydrocarbon fields
• Development and testing of wells at hydrocarbon fields
• Increasing oil recovery of oil reservoirs and increasing well productivity
• Underground (current) repair of wells at fields
• Underground (capital) repair of wells at fields
• Cementing of wells at hydrocarbon fields
• Preparation of technical and economic justifications for projects for hydrocarbon fields
• Preparation of technological regulations for hydrocarbon fields
• Preparation of project documentation for hydrocarbon fields
• Our company can also perform research work for subsoil users.

According to the Rules for financing research, scientific and technical, and/or experimental design works by subsoil users during the extraction of hydrocarbons and uranium, financing of scientific research is carried out by the subsoil user in the amount of one percent of the extraction costs incurred by the subsoil user based on the results of the previous year.

Fulfillment of obligations to finance scientific research in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on subsoil and subsoil use and the subsoil use contract is carried out by the subsoil user according to the list of priority sectoral areas for scientific research specified in the appendix to these Rules, in the following directions:

• scientific research related to activities under the subsoil use contract;
• scientific research not related to activities under the subsoil use contract.

Research and experimental development works (R&D) are a set of works aimed at acquiring new knowledge and practical application in the creation of a new product or technology.

R&D includes:

Research work (RW) — work related to scientific search, conducting studies, experiments to expand existing and obtain new knowledge, testing scientific hypotheses, establishing patterns of nature and society development, scientific generalization, and scientific justification of projects.

Experimental design work (EDW) and technological work (TW) — a complex of works performed during the creation or modernization of products, development of design and technological documentation for prototypes, manufacturing and testing of prototypes and utility models.
